Creating partnerships with London 2012 sponsors

On 25 June Sport England’s Commercial team, together
with the Youth Sport Trust and UK Sport, hosted a meeting with the
London 2012 sponsors to listen to what the public sector are doing
in sport across the spectrum.
With little more than two years to go until London 2012 there is
a unique opportunity to maximise the good that sport can do across
the sporting landscape at school, community and elite level, by
working with 2012 sponsors. At the same time, the economic
situation means that budgets are tightening everywhere.
Given those twin factors, gathering all three landscape partners
together with the 2012 sponsors spurred some excellent discussion
about the potential partnership opportunities which may exist to
help our programmes to become more effective, and 2012 sponsors'
marketing budgets to go further.
The following companies attended:
- Adidas
- Atos Origin
- BA
- BT
- Cisco UK & Ireland
