Sport England's Design and Cost guidance brings together
our best practice design advice and requirements for a wide range
of sports facility and building types.
Developed by Sport England's Facilities and Planning Centre
of Excellence, all the information is free to download.

How each section works
Within each of the specific guidance sections we have grouped
all information that is relevant to that section, including design
guidance, audit/check lists, case studies, cost guidance and downloadable CAD drawings
etc.

Newsletter and FAQs
View our newsletter and frequently asked questions (FAQ) to get
updates and alerts on specific issues relating to sports facility
design. The FAQs page provides answers to common questions received
through our online enquiry service.
The user guide provides information to users of this site and
the guidance and information contained within. This includes
limitations upon and conditions of use, of the information, and
your use of the information is taken as agreement to the terms.
We shall continue to update many of the existing

s under our programme for
renewal and welcome positive contributions by consultants,
contractors, specialists and other organisations.
We are unable to provide an individual tailored design service
or give project specific responses, but offer support through the
DGN
s and supporting
information.
