Biography
As a junior athlete I was ranked No.1 in the National Junior
League for 800m but went on to suffer serious
injury which halted my progression into the senior
ranks.
As the result of successive surgeries I am now back
competing again and split my training between an elite squad
of middle distance athletes at Loughborough University and in
London. My ultimate aim is to be on that podium in the London 2012
Olympics.
Whilst at school I was a little wayward and needed the
discipline and dedication I found in my athletics
training to help straighten up and achieve the academic
grades I needed to go to University.
Sport is all I ever dreamed of whilst at school and I
know that many children and young adults today have the same
outlook and just need a helping hand to guide them on the right
path.
Who is your role model?
Hicham El Guerrouj and my parents.
Who was your biggest influence?
Me.
What is your proudest moment?
Not being the fastest in the country, but turning up to every
training session on the way; that’s what I’m proud of.
What is your tip for young people wanting to take part in
sport?
Believe in yourself and never give up. Ever!
What is your favourite music/band?
I like anything that’s upbeat and lively.

Pasta.
What is the best piece of advice you have been given?
To believe in myself and that I can beat anybody.
