Children, Schools and Family Bill

Sports Policy News

The Children, Schools and Family Bill contains legislation which will impact on the processes for protecting vulnerable children as well as improving standards in schools. The Bill is designed to strengthen local authority powers to safeguard children in terms of registration and inspection, which will impact upon sports clubs in terms of how they implement child protection. The role of Ofsted in inspecting Local Children Safeguarding Bills will be set out more clearly and greater information sharing for child safeguarding will be supported.
