Consultation on ‘Improving Permitted Development’ and ‘a new planning policy on development coastal change’

Sports Policy News

Sport England has responded to two Communities and Local Government consultations on ‘Improving Permitted Development’ and ‘a new planning policy on development and coastal change’.

The ‘Improving Permitted Development’ consultation looks at the possibility of removing the need for full planning applications for some small scale non domestic developments which could positively impact club facilities. The coastal change consultation sought views on the best way to ensure the economic prosperity of coastal communities while reducing the consequences of coastal change.

Sport England used our responses to reinforce the need for the provision of sports facilities to be taken into account when making planning decisions.
