Flood and Water Management Bil

The Flood and Water Management Bill contains legislation which will affect water drainage rates for sports clubs and other non commercial properties. Water companies will be able to operate concessionary schemes relating to surface water drainage charges, thereby safeguarding community groups, including sports clubs, from unaffordable rises in their bills. Local Authorities will take responsibility for surface water flooding, the first time this will be assigned in law.
